About Todd

God is so good to all of us and He has been extremely good to me!

I had a pretty good childhood growing up. I was born into a wonderful family in the United States, in the "land of opportunity," and I have had more opportunities than I could ever have imagined. I don't think there's another time or place I would rather be born than here in the United States at this time, although there's so much sin and lack of faith in God. I got to do a lot of things other children don't typically get to do because I was an only child. I got to travel a lot and be exposed to a lot of different things, which my parents encouraged. I was very active in sports (particularly soccer, basketball, volleyball, indoor racquetball and golf), Indian Guides, Boy Scouts, Civil Air Patrol... I went to a lot of summer camps... I got invited to a youth group activity and got active in youth group and church. I began serving in ministry at the young age of 15, which is actually shortly before I became a genuine Christian. I went to a private Christian High School my senior year while attending AP college classes and Bible college, and then went to several Christian colleges and universities... I have lived a lot of places and have visited a lot of places. I'll admit I was spoiled but I am very thankful and appreciate everything, including having two wonderful parents! I am very loved by them, even though I admittedly take them for granted. They have always tried to be supportive and have loved me the best way they know how. My family, now that I am married, is actually quite large. My side of the family is very small while my wife's side is large.

I am also very thankful to be healthy! I have never been very sick beside the normal stuff. However, I do remember when I was young, I sometimes had lower back pain but it wasn't bad, so I didn't do anything about it. One night on a Christian retreat with my youth group, I had excruciating back pain and it is clear to me now that God wanted to teach me something. I humbled myself and asked the youth pastor to pray for my back because I didn't know what was going on. My youth pastor stopped everything and had everyone gather around me and pray. My youth pastor began to pray with authority and everyone prayed while laying their hands on me and each other. While they prayed, I felt an intense tingling heat throughout my back and body, and the presence of the Holy Spirit like I never have. I laid out on the floor in awe. I was miraculously completely healed from that moment! God has also healed me several times since then and I am a walking testimony to God's healing. I have also been used of God to pray for the healing of others and they have been healed by God. For many years now I have carried a metal vial of oil on my keychain so I can anoint people for healing as taught in the Bible (e.g. Mark 6:13; James 5:14).

God's angels have also miraculously protected me, and God has always been there for me. I believe every single person has a personal angel. I almost died a number of times but I was always protected and never got more than a scratch, even though I could have died! I once had a bad car accident. The car I was driving was totaled and twisted into a "U" around a tree but I crawled out of a smashed window with only minor scratches from the windshield and windows smashing!). The most significant was when I had an angel help me when I was rock climbing in Kentucky several hundred feet up. I thought it would be an easy climb so I didn't use my protection (I had $2,000 worth of gear and ropes sitting at the rock floor). Then I got to a tough spot I could not get down from. I was stuck and scared to death! I slipped, fell backwards, and would have fallen over 200 feet to the rock floor below where I would have definitely died, but as I was falling back (and I remember this so vividly!), I was quickened to reach out and slap a hold on some rock that couldn't have been there before. It was absolutely amazing! I was then able to continue climbing and got to the top without any other problems. Needless to say, I always used protection from then on!

God has always been there for me, even when I have walked away from Him. He always welcomed me back like the "prodigal son" in the Bible and has allowed me to have a real and thriving relationship with Him. He is so good that he has allowed me to live selfishly and ungratefully, constantly disobeying Him and hardly acknowledging Him, yet He died for me and has continued to love and watch over me, even when I am doing wrong. He also has perfect love for you that never fails, no matter what you have done or may do. He is so good He has allowed me to make my own choices, live my own life, despite the fact that He only wants what is best for me, and has even given me His Word to live by. His Word is perfect, it has stood the test of time, and it will last forever. Why is it so hard to follow the Word of God when it is clearly best for us? Why do we choose to try to do things on our own, only to regret it later?

I have never understood these people that proclaim they have "no regrets" in life. I have a life full of regrets, but I am still young and (Lord willing) have a long wonderful life ahead of me. I became a genuine Christian on January 22, 1989 which saved me from a lot of heartache as I was naturally headed in the wrong direction. It has been an up and down battle and I have walked away from Him many times, but I have always asked God to change my heart to make be a better man. Todd means "wise as a fox," but I admit I have lived foolishly! I tried doing many things on my own and often failed miserably, but God has been restoring everything back to me as I have been faithful to Him.

It is taking me a long time to mature and start to really become the person God created me to be. I have been on a long path of learning more and more about God and please be patient as I update this website to reflect the revelations I've had as I have changed my worldview in many ways. God has a scroll that contains the life He has planned for us, with all of the decisions we make and could make. We need to discover that God doesn't just want us to be a servant but rather participate in what He is doing and reign with Him and together build the Kingdom of God here on earth as it is in heaven. Praise and thanks be to God that I am finally living a victorious life in Him and making this happen! It's only by His grace! I am really enjoying life now and I have so much to look forward to! God has blessed me with the most wonderful wife in the world and I am truly in love. Most importantly, I am looking forward to having a treasure in heaven I can be proud to present to Jesus when I see Him face-to-face. I encourage you to commit your life to Jesus Christ and follow Him, otherwise, you will regret it. You need to get to know Him because He said in Matthew 7:21-23 that you have to know Him personally to go to His heaven. He said you can't be good enough on your own... Jesus said:

21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

- Matthew 7:21-23 (New International Version)

If we could be good enough to go to heaven, Jesus wouldn't have had to endure all that torture and die on a cross for our sins. Think about it.

"...For if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"

- Galatians 2:21 (New International Version)

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast."

- Ephesians 2:8,9 (New International Version)

"He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done..."

- Titus 3:5 (New International Version)

The Bible is very specific on this point and there are a lot more Scriptures that also make this clear. God always required a sacrifice be made for disobedience, ever since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:21). These sacrifices "put off" the wrath of God against sin until the "ultimate sacrifice" could be made in Jesus Christ on the cross, which was clearly predicted as written by the Jewish writers in the Old Testament.  We must fully accept Christ's sacrifice for our sins or we will die in our sins. Jesus said, "I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins" (John 8:24). You don't get more clear than that.

Please understand that Jesus Christ suffered and died so you could have a good life, although this doesn't mean you will always have health, wealth and happiness. On the contrary, the Bible promises you will have trouble, hardship and persecution (Matt 5:10-12, Acts 14:22, 1 Th 3:3-4) if you truly live for him. However, you will be blessed through it (Matt 5:10-11, Luke 6:22, 2 Cor 4:16-18, 2 Cor 12:10, James 1:2-3, James 5:10-11), you will bless others (2 Cor 1:2-5, Phil 1:12), and you will be rewarded in heaven for everything you did for Him (Matt 5:12, Luke 6:22-23, Rev 2:10). I really do hope you are having a life filled with God's best for you! Don 't miss out on eternity with Him. You're better safe than sorry. Please think about this and I will say it again. You are better safe than sorry and you will be safe rather than sorry if you have a real relationship with Jesus Christ!"Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near (Is 55:6 NIV)."

15"I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. 19Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent. 20Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. 21To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne."

- Revelation 3:15-21 (New International Version)

If you do not know the God who created you and have a personal relationship with Him, this may not make sense, but I encourage you to change that right now. God loves you more than you could ever imagine and He has been waiting for you to open the proverbial door of your heart and let Him into your life. However, He is perfectly holy and your prayers cannot reach him as long as you are in your sin. Isaiah 59:1 says "Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities has separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that He will not hear." You must first accept the forgiveness that Jesus provides through His death on the cross. He was the perfect sacrifice, which allows you to come to have a relationship with Him.

Isaiah 57:15 says, "For this is what the high and lofty One says - he who lives forever, whose name is Holy: 'I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.'"

Here is a prayer that you can pray so that you can decide this moment to ask God to forgive you for all of your sins and you can begin to have a relationship with Him. There is nothing "magic" about these particular words — it is the attitude of your heart that God cares about. When you are truly converted, God will radically transform you from the inside out. You will think and feel differently as you learn to trust and obey Him. God will give you new strength through His Holy Spirit for you to live right and love Him more than anything else. You can trust God — He loves you and will always be faithful. Now please pray these words, for you might not get another chance:

"Dear God, I confess that I have sinned against you by violating your Law. I know that you are perfectly holy and righteous, and if you were to judge me now based on your Law, I would be guilty. But because you are rich in mercy and have provided a Savior, I can be forgiven through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I ask you to forgive me for all of my sins. I surrender my life to Jesus and trust Him alone for my salvation. I now turn from all of my sinful ways (tell God the sins you think of). I ask you now to change my life and be my Lord and Savior, for I have decided from this day forever, to follow you. In Jesus Name, Amen."

Now it is essential that you find a good Bible-teaching church where you will grow in your faith with the help of others (Hebrews 10:25). Buy a Bible (if you don't have one) in a translation you can understand, for example, the New International Version (NIV) or the New King James Version (NKJV), and start to read it daily. I recommend you start in the New Testament in the book of John. Also, please let me know that you have made this decision by contacting me!

"To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy — to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen. (Jude 24 NIV)."
