Ministry - My wife and I are both actively
involved in ministry, including in both of our workplaces. My wife
is currently leading a Bible study at her work on Fridays which I
have been attending since we first met. We believe ministry is a
lifestyle and everything we do should bring glory to our Creator.
That includes serving others and telling them about Him.
Writing - I love to write and have been writing
and compiling writings ever since I became a Christian.
Dreaming - It's important to dream and have
dreams. I have dreams the Lord has given me for my future (and even
the future of others) and I am trying to get organized and to the
place when I can accomplish what the Lord has for me to do, using
the gifts and dreams He has given me to fulfill His plan and purpose
for my life. I know He has awesome plans for me (He does for all of
us) and I am determined to live them out!
Spiritual Warfare - We all have an enemy called
Satan. Angels and demons are real and I've
been involved in casting out demons from people several times. He is
also trying to hinder God's plan and purpose for my life.
Information Technology - I'm a computer guy... what can I
say? But it's a love/hate relationship!
Security - I grew up as a hacker and now help
companies defend themselves, particularly with wireless technologies
which are mostly insecure.
Music - I LOVE music and it affects me more than
anything else emotionally (beside God).
Real Estate - Am getting into it slowly. Wished I
had years ago! (like everyone else!)
Powered Paragliding (aka PPG) - An aircraft that
costs less than $7,000 that you can easily fit in your trunk and that you
can learn to safely operate with five days of training? You bet!
Golf - My father's favorite! I was raised on the
fairways and greens! I love golfing!
Tennis - Always liked but never got a handle on
the serve. Have courts but never play.
Indoor Racquetball - Love to play and have court
but don't play much.
Long-distance Running - Loved and still love. I
get that "runner's high" too!
Yachting/Sailing - Love it but only on other
people's yachts! :) Two words: "Money pit."
Antiques - Always liked well-made antiques in
good condition, especially dark woods.
Audiophile/Stereo Equipment - Have always loved
and appreciated good sound! Am selling my stereo to
consolidate and upgrade.
Gadgets/Electronics - I'm a "techie" and love
gadgets/electronics. I love Apple products and use my MacBook Pro and iPhone constantly.
Photography - Started when I bought a
Canon EOS
300D Digital Rebel SLR camera, followed by my wife's Olympus Stylus
720 SW. Both of these are amazing cameras... The key is to know how
to use them!
Cooking (Food! I love food!) - My mother got me
into cooking and gourmet food! Anyone who knows me knows how much I
love food!
Religions - Studied all of them but nothing even
compares to Christianity which is completely unique. I am
particularly concerned with
Islam and see it playing a significant
role in these last days.
Logic - Have always appreciated logic and debate,
two of my favorites in school.
Psychology - I could have very easily become a
psychologist and have a number of theories.
Philosophy - One of my favorites in school. I
loved studying different philosophies and other points of view.
History - Wasn't my favorite but only because I'm
selective. Love Biblical and ancient history.
Etymology (Names) - Fascinating study. There's a
lot behind a name! Look at
God's Name!
International Studies - I liked this in school
and enjoy learning about other countries.
Cultures - I'm fascinated by other cultures and
love to learn about them, and in particular visit!
Travel - One of my greatest loves and how I would
choose to spend extra money on myself.
Investments - Love this discipline but selective.
Used to be a full-time "daytrader" and always loved the markets.
Shopping - I can really enjoy shopping but it's
exhausting to me, and I only do it when I have the money to spend.
eBay - Have
always loved eBay and have bought a number of things from it. Now I
need to start selling!
YouTube - Who didn't see this
coming? Everyone loves watching videos, although some are
significantly better than others!
Here's some of my favorites!
Exotic Cars - Always loved them but will probably
never own one, beside maybe a kit car or a deal if I ever find one.
Also like yachting/sailing, but will probably never own.
Movies (a
few good ones) - Hard to find a good one these days so I keep
watching the same ones over and over.
Rock Climbing - I fell in love with rock climbing
when I lived in KY, almost killed myself but would still go anytime.
There's just no mountains in FLORIDA! :(
Caving/Speleology - No caves in Florida either!
:( I really loved doing this too! In Kentucky, right near my school,
there was an awesome and huge cave that I explored over dozens of
trips. Almost died doing this too but would do it again! Lots of
fun!
Metal Detecting - We do have a lot of beaches and
I would like to start this up again... There are some nice rings out
there!
Geocaching
- This is an interesting hobby, especially with children. One of the
few times I used my GPS.
Old Books - One of my few hobbies. I collect old
leather and vellum-bound books from the 1800's and earlier, any
subject. If you have any, let me know. I love to read them too!
Art - Have always loved art and enjoy painting
myself (particularly oil). Will probably take it up when I retire.
And last but not least, SPENDING TIME WITH MY WIFE
YVETHE! She is the
